Tim Walker, CMP is a new addition to our staff at MCI. Having lived in Washington D.C. and Chicago, he brings with him 25 years of Association Management and Meeting Planning experience working as an event director for PCMA (Professional Convention Management Association) among other National and International organizations. He has been active in the Michigan events industry for nearly 15 years managing events for organizations such as The Engineering Society of Detroit, Kresge Foundation, and The Kellogg Foundation. In 2012, Tim was inducted into the Michigan Meetings and Events Magazine Hall of Fame as Meeting Planner of the Year. When Tim is not planning an event, you can find him either kayaking or skiing. Next Summer he plans to work on achieving his pilot's license.

Shelby Budzeak

Social media Intern


Shelby joined Meeting Coordinators, Inc. this past summer as our social media intern. She is currently a sophomore at Western Michigan University where she is studying Public Relations. Event planning has intreguied Shebly since she was young and we are excited to have her as part of our team. 

MARCY DWYER, cae, cmp, MBA

Marcy joined the team in December 2017. She brings a strong association and meeting professional background to Meeting Coordinators, with over 20 years' experience in corporate, association and social programs at the local, state, national and international level. Marcy has a MBA, with emphasis in training and finance from Wayne State University. She received her undergraduate degree at Michigan State University in Hotel Management. Marcy is a Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) and a Certified Association Executive (CAE), and serves on various non-profit boards.

ARLENE RUBINSTEIN, CMP

MEETING PLANNER/ACCOUNT MANAGER


Arlene joined Meeting Coordinators in October of 2013. She brings with her 29 years of experience in association meeting management. Before retiring in 2012, Arlene was the administrative assistant with the Real Property Law Section, State Bar of Michigan. Arlene earned her Certified Meeting Planning (CMP) certification in 2012. 

KATHY WILSON

ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGER


Kathy jumped onboard the Meeting Coordinators team in March of 2014. She has been in the communications field for more than 25 years, holding various administrative positions in sales and marketing with AT&T Advertising Solutions before retiring in 2013. Kathy has a great deal of experience in meeting and event planning, as well as extensive computer software platform and program expertise.

Kim Jacob

Account Support


Kim joined Meeting Coordinators in the beginning of time when we were all young and carefree! Kim's background includes some pretty impressive places! She worked hard as General Manager for the food service and events department at the Detroit Institute of Arts, as well as Cobo Hall, also event planning at the Troy Marriott and the Townsend Hotels. Kim now owns and operates an Automotive Performance Center with her loving husband of 25 years. Kim loves to join the Meeting Coordinators team on a part time basis in various positoins to help create the perfect event! 

SAMANTHA ROGERS

Assistant meeting planner


Samantha started at MCI in October of 2018. She is a recent Western Michigan University graduate, where she studied Marketing and Event Management.  She decided to take this path because she loves the idea of turning a vision into reality and being able to make a life changing experience, even if it is for just one or two people. Samantha plans on becoming a Certified Meeting Planner within the next year and is excited to start her career as an event planner.

Lisa started at Meeting Coordinators, Inc. team in March of 2018. She brings over 8 years of experience in event planning, organizing, and executing successful corporate and politically based conferences, workshops and other events throughout Oakland County. Lisa began her event planning career as Technical Assistant/Event Planner for Oakland County Employment Diversity Council, (O.C.E.D.C.) where she mastered the function of merging processes and people.

ANN K. BRUTTELL

President & founder


Ann has distinguished herself in the field of corporate and association meeting management for over 25 years in several key national markets.  She has developed, organized and executed complete programs for 5 to 30,000 participants on a local, national and international basis. After completing her education in Michigan, she worked in Washington, D.C. for 10 years in the field of meeting logistics and management. She returned to Michigan in 1982 to work for an international membership organization; planning their national and international meetings. In 1988, she ventured out on her own, forming the successful Meeting Coordinators, Inc. to deliver organization, logistical planning and creative solutions to meetings and events for multiple clients.
